With an easy to use interface, you will be able to select colors, rumble strength, map to the multi-function wheels on the back of each controller, and create specific profiles for specific games. According to PDP, this application was always planned, and that this configuration does not replace manually doing so – you can still configure without the app – but gives another option to those who wish to get into a bit more detail.
In fact, this app was announced right after the controller came out. Each profile can be cloud-saved for future use. The Afterglow Configuration App offers gamers a variety of customization choices, including vibration and rumble strength, lighting and color selections, Dual Multi-Function wheel actions, and the ability to create different controller profiles. More kudos to them had it launched beside the controller, but lets not get picky. Now everything that I was doing by pushing buttons and moving analog sticks was being replaced with a fairly easy to use interface within the application.
